Command reference ยท Claude Code
/powerup
Shows Claude Code features through short interactive lessons with animated demos.
/powerup introduces you to Claude Code features through short, interactive lessons with animated demos โ right in the terminal, without having to separately open the docs.
The command was introduced in version 2.1.90 and is aimed at anyone who wants to try out new or little-used features rather than just read about them: each lesson shows a feature via an animated demo, so you can see directly how it behaves in practice.
/powerup isn't meant as a pure lookup reference for all commands โ /help provides that overview, and the official docs at code.claude.com provide the details. /powerup is more of a playful way to get to know Claude Code better step by step, rather than a reference work for targeted questions.
โ WHEN TO USE IT?
Get to know new features in a playful way
After an update, start /powerup to discover new features through short interactive lessons with demos.
Get a newcomer familiar with Claude Code
Have a new team member go through /powerup instead of reading the entire docs.
โ WHEN NOT TO?
Looking specifically for a known feature
/powerup shows curated lessons, not a searchable reference of individual commands.
Better: use /help for the command overview or go directly to the docs.
