Command reference ยท Claude Code
/team-onboarding
Generates a team onboarding guide from your usage history.
/team-onboarding analyzes your Claude Code usage from the last 30 days โ sessions, commands used, and connected MCP servers โ and automatically generates a Markdown guide from it. A teammate can simply paste this text as the first message in a new session and is immediately familiar with your typical setup: which tools, skills, and servers you use and how you normally work. The command needs no argument and only evaluates your own, local history.
If you're a claude.ai subscriber on a Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan, /team-onboarding additionally provides a share link that colleagues can open directly in Claude Code, without having to manually copy the generated text. Without such a subscription, only the local Markdown file is created.
โ WHEN TO USE IT?
Onboard new team members
After a few weeks of active project work, run /team-onboarding so a new team member can use your setup as their first message
Share your own setup as a link
With a claude.ai subscription (Pro/Max/Team/Enterprise), send the generated share link directly to colleagues so they can open it in Claude Code without copy-paste
โ WHEN NOT TO?
Fresh project with no usage history of your own
The guide is built from your sessions, commands, and MCP server usage over the last 30 days; without history, it stays thin or empty.
Better: Use /init for a project-based CLAUDE.md
